Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills in 2 Parts - Part 1: Wed 3/17 AND Part 2: Fri & Sat 3/19-20 PDF Print E-mail

Trained BadgeOutdoor Leader Skills for Webelos Leaders and Boy Scout Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) have been combined into one course. This great course is offered in two parts.  Part 1 runs 90-minutes on Wed 3/17 for an introduction, followed by Part 2 which is an overnight Fri 3/19 and a day of training on Sat 3/20.  Webelos Leaders, Bear Leaders, Scoutmasters, and Assistant Scoutmasters will benefit by being on course with each other. Scout Leaders will learn what they need to know to take Webelos out with their Troop and Webelos Leaders will learn about what their scouts will need to know as Webelos as well as where they are going next. 

Part1 - Pre-Outing Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Pre-Outing Location: St. Josephs, Issaquah
Part 2 - IOLS Dates: Friday, March 19 @ 6:00pm through Saturday, March 20, 2010 @ 10:00pm
Cost:  $15.00 covers the cost of program materials.  Food will be additional and will be determined by your Patrol at the pre-outing meeting.

Life BadgeThis informative evening is for parents and scouts to learn what is required on the journey from Life Scout to Eagle Scout.  Scouts who are at least Star Rank getting ready to achieve Life Rank should attend this helpful session.  Led by Bob Jones, Alpine District Advancement Chair.  Please join us for this very informative session the evening of Thu 4/15 (the 3rd Thursday of April).

Cub Scout Leader Specifics - Saturday May 22nd 2010 PDF Print E-mail

Instructor-Led Training known as “Cub Scout Leader Specific Training” is REQUIRED for all Cub Scout Leaders. The course format consists of a general introduction followed by specific breakout sessions. If you have already taken this course for a previous position in your Pack, then you only need to attend the Breakout Session for your new role. The Breakout Sessions include:

  • Cubmasters and Assistants
  • Webelos Den Leaders and Assistants
  • Cub Scout Den Leaders and Assistants (wolf and bear)
  • Tiger Cub Den Leaders
  • Pack Trainers
  • Pack Committee Chairpersons and all other Committee Members

Time for Introduction: 9:00am for Introduction (for all NEW Leaders)
Time for Breakout Sessions: all Breakout Sessions start at 10:45am sharp
